An evening scientific symposium on diagnosis and treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis was organized by the Hong Kong Thoracic Society and the CHEST Delegation Hong Kong and Macau on 12th December 2016 at the Island Shangri-La. Professor Ulrich Costabel from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany was invited as the speaker. Professor Costabel discussed on the radiological and histological diagnosis of IPF, its natural history, prognostic factor and treatment efficacy with anti-fibrotic agents.
