As part of the continuous medical education programme for medical and paramedical staff, the Hospital Authority has been organizing commissioned training programme for diagnostic radiographers annually. This year, the main theme of the activity was focused on the respiratory system. The Hong Kong Thoracic Society (HKTS) and American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) (Hong Kong and Macau Chapter) had been invited to jointly organize the training programme this year, in collaboration with the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong SAR, at Caritas Medical Centre on 9-10 October, 2004. It consisted of a 2-day programme with topical presentations of major anatomical, physiological, pathological, clinical and radiological aspects of the respiratory system. Our council members Dr. David Hui (Presiden, HKTS) and Dr. PC Wong (Secretaryrrreasurer, ACCP (HK&M Chapter» conducted the opening and closing ceremonies, Dr. Wilson Yee (council member, HKTS) helped in organizing the event, while other members (Drs. KC Wong, James Ho, KM Sin, PY Tse, Fanny Ko, Raymond Liu) had contributed with their excellent presentations making the educational activity well received.
