Hong Kong Lung Foundation, Hong Kong Thoracic Society and ACCP (Hong Kong and Macau Chapter)
Professor W K Lam, Past President of the Hong Kong Thoracic Society and ACCP (Hong Kong & Macau Chapter) and Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Lung Foundation, has been conferred Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (Fellow Honoris Causa) on 10 May 2008 for his outstanding academic, research and professional achievements as well as his remarkable contributions to the profession.
The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (RCPSG), founded in 1599, is a renowned professioanl organization in Scotland whose mission is to promote best levels of health and high standards of healthcare for people throughout the world via extensive education programme and academic activities to enable continuing professional development. With this conferment, Professor Lam is currently the International Advisor for the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, and the Royal College of Physicians of London.
