Under the joint organization of the Hong Kong Lung Foundation, Hong Kong Thoracic Society and the American COllege of Chest Physicians (HK & Macau Chapter), the 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting has been successfully held on 15th March 2009 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The scientific programme this year has been an exceptionally rich one, covering a wide range of respiratory topics, and with presentations delivered by a distinguished panel of local and international experts. The excellent conjoint effort of the organizing committee was witnessed by an impressive attendance of more than 400 participants.
